Professional
Growth and Salary Advancement Credit for Educators
The
ACT Program is a non-classroom, Independent
Study series of courses accomplished by correspondence,
online, by email and Internet methods recently created through
California State University, Monterey Bay for K-14 educators
in public and private schools, counselors, administrators, community
college instructors for recertification and salary advancement
credit. These courses may also be appropriate for social workers,
law enforcement and prison personnel across the United States wishing
to hone their professional skills and advance themselves on the payscale.
Many teachers have also found they could use Act Program
courses to satisfy the "Highly Qualified Teacher"
requirements. Check with your district for details. The semester
units of credit received are non-degree, graduate-level
professional development credit, offered through the University's
Office of Extended Education. Cost per credit is just $95!
