An exciting program of professional development courses for educators utilizing the Internet to find new and innovative resources for developing lesson plans and creative classroom activities.
Learn or improve your skills on the Internet AND develop a curriculum at the same time. This program is for educators of all grades and disciplines, and provide two important benefits...They familiarize you with the various research tools and systems available through the Internet AND provide useful curriculum resources for the topic you select. You will research a valuable collection of curriculum resources to assist with your lesson plan/project and other instructional needs. Each course explores Internet research techniques, discovers valuable educational and curriculum materials for your classroom or professional needs, and helps you become more Internet-literate. NO PRIOR INTERNET KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED. All you need is a computer and access to the Internet.

The Internet materials and information included with each course enable you to begin and complete the course requirements. Even if you have some knowledge of the Internet, these courses will show you how to find curriculum resources, use newsgroups, chat rooms, mailing lists, blogs, instant messaging, and even build your own web site.

Courses may be taken in two convenient formats, Online or E-Courses (a workbook provided in a word processing file.) All courses are 3 credits. Start anytime. One year to complete. Your grade will be recorded in the term you complete the course.
