A Way into Hamlet: Gifted and AP Kids

Description

On the cover leaf of Shakespeare’s Philosophy, Colin McGinn is quoted, saying of Shakespeare, “He has the curiosity of a scientist, the judgment of a philosopher, and the soul of a poet.” Taking some direction from that statement, we will be looking at Hamlet then as a subject of curiosity, as an ontological probe, and as a puzzled, yet eloquent poet.

Course Type

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
