Severe Weather: Nature's Killers

Description

No matter what part of the country you live in, you experience a wide variety of weather conditions. Most of the time the weather will be normal, such as sunny skies or a passing shower. What happens when that shower turns into a life threatening thunderstorm? Or when a hurricane threatens millions in a coastal city? Severe weather can strike almost any location, and being able to recognize the causes and threats of each can help protect lives and property. This course will teach the fundamental basics of the four deadliest severe weather events, such as formation conditions, historical damage and preparation. This information is important for teachers, students, and parents alike. This course is appropriate for teachers grades K-12.
