Rainforests: Are They Doomed?

Description

The question of the diminishing rainforest is a perplexing one. It is one of our most precious resources yet we are rapidly destroying them. This course takes you into the rainforest with scientists to examine the wildlife and its plight, the extent of degradation, and perhaps a few ideas on what we can do to stop it. The DVD about the wildlife included in this course will have great appeal to students, especially those in the lower grades.

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
