Description

Though portions of this course may be adaptable for upper grades, the primary intent is for elementary grades. It contains the award-winning documentary “March of the Penguins” in its entirety and several delightful books children will love. It is designed to assist the teacher in teaching a unit on penguins and perhaps the South Pole.

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
