This course examines the field of learning disabilities, what they are, how to deal with them, clues that help you discover them, teaching strategies and activities, and a wide range of topics to help the teacher. Included is a resource handbook that is an invaluable aid to the process. There are also many hints on motivation and understanding the struggling student.

Course Type

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
