K-5 Reading and Writing the Workshop Way

Description

This course provides you with the tools to assess students’ learning, gather information for assessments and progress reports, keep records on students’ literacy strengths and needs, and conduct reading and writing workshops for emergent and fluent readers and writers. You will demonstrate how to create rigorous and successful reading and writing lessons and a classroom environment that boosts your students’ literacy. Videos show real teachers successfully using the techniques that you will discover in this course. A broadband Internet connection (DSL, ISDN or Cable Modem) is required to view the videos.
 

Course Type

These courses are conducted online. You will receive a username and password to access the course content, as well as perform and submit assignments within the online platform. All Online Courses earn three credits.
