Description

This is a fascinating story of how the earth was made, both physically and biologically. It ranges from a striking DVD showing the physical changes over time, from a ball of gas to the present. It also features a wonderful text on evolution and how modern life forms evolved. Lastly, a book that examines the northern region of Italy shows how it was once an island and discusses where the Alps came from.

Course Type

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
