Description

This course offers varying views on global warming; its causes, effects and severity. One theory deals with cosmic rays and their effects on cooling clouds, or the lack of them. One book offers suggestions for dealing with the problem in ways perhaps not thought of until now. Another portion deals with how to teach the subject. And finally, we look at how, if the climate does warm up, a mere six degrees could change the world.

Course Type

This is a non-classroom, self-directed, independent study courses, which may include DVDs, CDs, audio/video tapes or other materials and assignments to be returned by mail. Some traditional courses are all home study, others require visits to various locations in the area being studied, and some offer a choice of both. You may earn between one and four semester hours of credit for a Traditional Course, depending on the course you choose.
