The Blue Whale: Bigger than the Dinosaurs

Description

The blue whale, the largest animal that ever lived, is in danger of extinction. The 80-foot animal, with a heart weighing 1,000 pounds and the size of a Volkswagen Beetle, now numbers less than 10,000 worldwide. This course examines conservation efforts, the search for the blues’ breeding grounds and its future. A 90-minute DVD examines the animal up close as it makes its annual migration.
