EHIS 712 - 3 semester units of graduate-level credit
toward professional development

$285 total tuition. No additional materials required.

Course Description:
An email course. There are more than 360 National Parks scattered across the United States. No matter where you live, whether it is in the city or the country, there is probably a National Park Site near you. Hidden within each National Park is an exciting story waiting to be discovered. It would be impossible for a teacher to bring his or her class to visit all of them, but thanks to the World Wide Web, it is now possible for students to take virtual field trips without ever leaving the classroom. Each on-line session will be devoted to exploring ways that National Parks can be used in the classroom.

Course Outline:
Complete the required assignments using the instructor’s guidelines and question formats. A minimum of 45 hours of work is required to receive three semester hours of professional development credit for this course.

Evaluation: Course work will be evaluated by how closely the assignments adhere to the formats and topics assigned; as well as accuracy, originality and creativity, thoroughness and critical thinking skills.
