CSUMB Ideally situated between the Salinas Valley and Monterey Bay, California, CSUMB is located on 1,365 picturesque acres of the former Fort Ord Army Base. Founded in 1994 as the 21st campus in the California State University system, CSUMB first opened its doors to students in 1995 and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC.) CSUMB maintains a strong Academic program that includes teaching degrees and credentials, and further supports the teaching professional by offering the ACT Program to advance professional development after entering the classroom.
